The interview film „Besuch bei Kafkas Nichte“ (A Visit to Kafka's niece) by Hans-Gerd Koch and Hanns Zischker with Marianne Steiner, née Pollak (1913-2000), will be presented by German scholar Hans-Gerd Koch, the central figure of the Critical Kafka Edition. After the screening, the author of the film will discuss with the audience the role of contemporary witnesses in relation to Franz Kafka in particular and to the Jewish world in general.
The event is organized by the Bohemicum – Center for Czech Studies at the University of Regensburg in cooperation with the Evangelisches Bildungswerk.
