In „Immer wissen, daß man zu danken hat“ (2024, Always know that you have to give thanks. Children in Kafka's Cosmos), author Astrid Dehe looks at Franz Kafka from a lighter, often neglected side of his work, namely his childlike side. This stems both from his sensitive feeling for children and young people as well as from a deep identification with them and the intense memory of his own childhood, as the author writes in the foreword.
The anniversary volume will be presented in a reading with Astrid Dehe and Kafka expert Reiner Stach at the Michaelsbund bookstore on June 27 at 7 pm.
Attendance is free of charge. Due to the limited number of places, please register in advance.
The event takes place in cooperation with the German Academy for Children's and Youth Literature and the Liberal Jewish Community Beth Shalom.
You are cordially invited!
