A walk-in theater landscape
With a walk-in theater landscape in the Schaubühne's over one hundred year old auditorium, whose still recognizable layers and stratifications seem to us today like an ongoing overwriting, a slowly growing collage, we are confronting the phenomenon of Kafka, whose oeuvre, so small in quantitative terms, seems to consist solely of fragments and unfinished works. Here in this room in our present, however, this Kafka house will once again and anew generate disquiet and reverberation.
Various artistic contributions come together to form an installation that changes over time, and DAS KAFKAHAUS also forms the stage for several performances, readings and, as a finale on February 10, a concert by the Kafka Band.
